East Caithness Church of Scotland (ECCOS)
Parish Newsletter — May 2025
Dear Friends,
Another month with SO much happening in your Church over the Easter season… Paul writes in his letter to the Hebrews, “Let us be concerned for one another… let us encourage one another all the more.” (Hebrews 10v25)…
Blessings to you all

Cafe Church — Every Last Sunday at 6.30pm
Café Church is a welcome change to our church experience… There were over 30 people, sitting at tables together in sixes discussing what sort of things we could give up for good… Come and join us at the end of this month!
From Rob, our Outreach Worker
Hello ECCoS friends! What an exciting run up to Easter!… My sincerest prayer is that this is the beginning of many great missions yet to come!
As a last note I have scheduled a meeting… Tuesday, 20th May at 1–3pm in our Argyle Church upstairs room… Until we see you again, God bless you all!

Or we have Gift Aid envelopes in the church if you are a tax payer. The work of the Church goes far beyond Caithness… every penny counts, so again “thanks”.
Christian Aid
Last month you again supported our charity, Omega Task, and now Rob and Triston are off to Costa Rica… In May we are joining the rest of the Church of Scotland in supporting Christian Aid… Thanks for your continuing support.
Walking in the Light
… Jesus was preparing his disciples… “While you have the light, believe in the light” (John 12v35-36)… As we move towards forming a Nominating Team and seeking a new Minister may we follow the lighted pathway.

Names in Dunbeath
Dunbeath has evidence that it was ever thus, evidence as graffiti carved on the pews clearly shows… Does anyone recognise the names?
